A blues rock obsessive from Philadelphia, Todd Rundgren originally cut his teeth
with cult garage act Nazz - noted for opening for The Doors and being featured
on 'Nuggets', the influential 1972 compilation album of '60s U.S. psychedelic
obscurities. Inspired by British R&B groups like The Yardbirds, The Rolling
Stones and Cream and the songwriting of Laura Nyro, Rundgren linked up with Bob
Dylan's legendary manager Albert Grossman and became a producer for his stable
of acts. He also released a solo album in 1970 called 'Runt' and made the top 20
with single 'We Gotta Get You a ...
